Viacom = SCO ?

It appears that Viacom's $1-billion copyright infringement lawsuit against Google and YouTube has as much merit as SCO Group vs. IBM lawsuit. Several articles confirm this, for example, Red Herring and The Street.com. This appears to be Viacom's attempt to negotiate a favorable deal for MTV videos on YouTube -- where there are thousands -- and proactively addressing the risk of being the target of a suit lodged against them.
